The idea is that when you encounter any insight that resonates with you in a book—something you would highlight or underline—you should try to figure out what you’re actually supposed to do with that insight. If it’s an action or a new habit you want to start, note it down in the actions column. If it’s a useful idea, note it down in the concepts section.

The template can help you do that because it will align your mind that way.

Of course, there will be some friction when you read your first few books using this template because it’s something new. But if you keep at it, you will see that it will help you a lot after you get the hang of it.

The key is to note down only that which resonates with you A LOT. If you try to note down everything, you will dilute the notes and they won’t help you.

My advise would be to experiment this with a couple of books—try to keep it short—and then see if it helps you.
